The machine divides the raw material into two fractions and is capable of separating particles with only a slight difference in bulk density. Gravity separators are used worldwide in installations for the production of seed, flour, pearled grain and similar products, effectively removing impurities that other cleaning methods cannot distinguish.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Applications of the Gravity Separator<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Grains<\/strong> \u2013 wheat, barley, rye, oats, maize: separating full, heavy kernels from light or damaged kernels<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pulses<\/strong> \u2013 peas, beans, soy: quality sorting<\/li>\n<li><strong>Seeds<\/strong> \u2013 grass seed, rapeseed, beet seed, vegetable seeds: removing light or damaged seeds<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rice<\/strong> \u2013 separating filled and empty kernels<\/li>\n<li><strong>Coffee and cocoa<\/strong> \u2013 quality separation of beans<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nuts<\/strong> \u2013 hazelnuts, walnuts, peanuts: removing empty or light nuts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Plastic granulate<\/strong> \u2013 density sorting in recycling<\/li>\n<li><strong>Minerals and sand<\/strong> \u2013 separation of materials with different densities<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chemical products<\/strong> \u2013 granulate, pellets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>How the Gravity Separator works<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The product passes over a slightly inclined, vibrating perforated deck. The heavier material maintains contact with the perforated deck and, due to the vibrating motion, is conveyed towards the higher side of the machine. Lighter material rests on top of the layer, has no contact with the vibrating motion, and floats across the air deck towards the lower side. This operating principle is illustrated in the animation.
