Bigbag filling

Filling bigbags is a crucial step in a continuous bulk handling process. The filling line must match the product characteristics, required capacity and available space within the installation. A well-designed system ensures controlled, efficient and low-dust filling. This directly contributes to product quality and operational reliability.

Operation and process control

During filling, the product is fed into the bigbag via a dosing unit such as a screw conveyor, vibrating feeder or valve. The filling process can be controlled by weight or volumetrically, depending on the required accuracy. The use of weighing systems and automatic cut-off ensures a consistent fill. Venting systems and dust filters reduce emissions and improve the working environment.

more about us

Safety and ergonomics

Safety is a key aspect when filling bigbags. The bags must be filled in a stable and shape-retaining manner to prevent tipping and product loss. In addition, features such as fall protection, clamping systems and dust extraction help protect the operator. Ergonomic solutions, such as adjustable suspension systems and automatic release mechanisms, reduce physical strain.

Execution and optimisation

Bigbag filling installations can be equipped with various options, such as vibrating tables for compaction, inflatable cuffs for dust-tight filling and integrated weighing platforms. Depending on the product, additional features such as vent filters or inerting can be applied. The correct configuration ensures optimal use of storage space while maintaining product quality.
