Description Cone mixer
A cone mixer, also known as a Nauta mixer, is ideally suited for batch processes with powders and granulates. The machine uses a rotating screw that moves along the conical wall while simultaneously rotating around its own axis. This creates a combination of upward flow and gentle mixing with low shear forces. This results in a homogeneous end product without damaging sensitive particles.
Working in batches provides control over mixing time and composition. In addition, complete discharge is possible, which minimizes product loss and simplifies cleaning. As a result, the cone mixer is widely used in the food industry and chemicals.
Moistening during mixing with spray nozzles under the lid of the mixer is widely applied.

- Static vertical screw conveyor in the centre of the mixer. At different heights, the product flows into the screw spiral and is discharged at the top. The mixing time is longer, but the construction is much simpler
