Description Lumpbreaker
A lumpbreaker is used to reduce agglomerated bulk solids into a homogeneous and free-flowing product, without grinding the material. This prevents blockages and ensures a constant feed to downstream processes. In addition, dosing accuracy is improved and process control is maintained.
Application lumpbreaker
Lumpbreakers are used for a wide range of bulk solids, depending on the physical properties of the material.
Suitable for, among others:
- powders and fine products
- granules and pellets
- flakes and crystalline products
Applications can be found in sectors such as food, chemical, mineral processing, recycling and bulk logistics.

The unit is available in various configurations:
- All common material types such as carbon steel, stainless steel 304, stainless steel 316, manganese steel such as Hardox
- The modular design provides full flexibility in dimensions and motor power
- The distance between the blades and the grate mesh size, which determine the final product size, are defined per machine
Test installation
Jansen&Heuning has a test installation that can determine, with a relatively small amount of product, which dimensions and capacities are required for the desired end result and throughput.
